Lord Scriven Quizzes Government on Steel Deal

Liberal Democrat Peer Lord Scriven has quizzed the Government in the House of Lords over the future of the Stocksbridge and Rotherham TATA steel works after the sale of the Scunthorpe plant was announced earlier today.

Unbelievably, the Conservative business Minister Baroness Lucy Neville-Rolfe thought that the South Yorkshire plants were included in the deal.
Lord Scriven, Liberal Democrat Peer and candidate for Ecclesall ward, said

"I am now writing to the Minister as the Tories clearly do not know where South Yorkshire is. We can't let the Conservatives get away with allowing our two local plants and the communities that depend on them be forgotten by the Conservative Government."
