Ecclesall Road's Royal Mail sorting office could close, with residents having to go to Pond Street to pick up undelivered mail.
Royal Mail are looking at shutting the Ecclesall office as part of a current feasibility study.
Your local councillors have been talking about the issue with local residents and have launched a petition calling the Royal Mail to keep the local office open.
Councillor Roger Davison said "Many people in the local area are concerned about possible closure of the local sorting office and enquiry desk."
Shaffaq Mohammed, Councillor for Ecclesall, added: "Many residents regularly use the office to pick up parcels or mail which need to be signed for. Having to use Pond Street would be far less convenient."
Nick Clegg MP & local Councillors Roger Davison & Shaffaq Mohammed have launched a petition calling for the local office to be saved.
