Lib Dem candidates endorsed by Open Britain

Cross party organisation, Open Britain, which is campaigning against a hard Brexit and for a continued close relationship with Europe, has endorsed a number of pro-EU candidates for the upcoming General Election, including the Lib Dem MP for Sheffield Hallam Nick Clegg.

Labour MP Paul Blomfield who represents Sheffield Central constituency, is not included on the list.  Paul Blomfield voted in favour of triggering the unamended article 50 bill, despite his constituency overwhelmingly voting to remain. Labour have been accused by Lib Dem leader Tim Farron of "waving the white flag" on Brexit.
PPC for Sheffield Central, Shaffaq Mohammed said

“Paul Blomfield is a Shadow Brexit minister, but pro-European campaigners don't believe Blomfield will stand up for them.
Sheffield needs more pro-EU voices and the constituents of Sheffield Central deserve an MP that will represent them when it comes to Brexit.

"Only by electing more pro-European Liberal Democrat MPs, can we can protect Britain's place in the Single Market and provide the much needed opposition to Theresa May's Hard Brexit Conservative Government."
