Liberal Democrats have welcomed the lifting the restrictions on key workers at Sheffield’s Hospitals at Car Parks owned by the City Council.

The Council has already provided permits for free on-street and off-street parking for NHS staff in conjunction with the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This further suspension of charges will enable other key workers to take advantage of free parking.

Lib Dem Cllr Martin Smith said ‘I welcome this move by the Council to make their Car Parking free.  This follows on from the Government making hospital parking free. Key workers who have to travel for essential work deserve our thanks and support.'
